The first and most important rule in the stock market game is to always do research prior to buying, holding, or selling an investment. If investors just bought and sold investments without knowing why, how could they expect to be successful? The stock market might be volatile, but it still is an organized institution. And erratic investing will not get you anywhere. So always do your research prior to any trade.
