Antiques furniture is emasculating for men

April 4th, 2009

Antiquing has been around ever since people have been clinging to and obsessed with the past. Every now and then , I’d see a buddy of mine who just got married get dragged out of antiquing trips on the weekends.

I used to think that going in search of antiques furniture was a rather emasculating exercise meant to suck the manliness out of a newlywed man man, but my position on that has changed because a love of antiques and antique chairs can be blamed on a love for history, so if the person is a history buff, then I guess I’m ok with the emasculation since it’s also academic in nature
