Many patients face the vague nature of the symptoms of fibromyalgia, and in fact, one of the biggest obstacles to receiving the correct diagnosis of this disease. The symptoms of fibromyalgia can cover a huge range of physical and even emotional symptoms. This leaves doctors and other health care professionals often floundering in the dark. Let’s face it; chronic fatigue and even pain can mean a lot of things. It’s even worse when doctors use tests as diagnostic tools and come up absolutely no definitive answer. As of yet, there isn’t a single effective test for fibromyalgia. It is a matter of ruling out other more common conditions. Some of the more likely symptoms patients with fibromyalgia have to deal with include: issues with facial pain and headaches, chronic fatigue, and emotional symptoms.
