It doesnt matter what area of life you refer to, be it in business or professional or personal, there are going to be times when you are forced to interact and trust people you havent met before and dont know. Sometimes you might have a doubt about them, maybe them personally or their work abilities, you always have the opportunity to perform a little research. Its not too complicated to do the safe thing and use the internet to check up on them. You can run simple google searches to see if they are known or have a web presence or you can even run full background checks and reverse phone lookup to see if they are who they say they are. Better safe than sorry.
