Natural Ways To Quit Smoking Don’t Always Work

The irony is that ex-smokers tend to feel quite confident while they are repressing their desire to smoke. It seems to them that they have their problem under control and that they have truly broken the addiction this time and successfully found one of the ways to quit smoking that works for them. It’s a very common and attractive error to see the absence of addictive desire as a sign of having succeeded.
But repression is, at best, a temporary way to stop smoking - ok, so it is one of the natural ways to quit smoking, but that is not necessarily a good thing. It’s like sitting on a time bomb: the only question is when it will explode. And when it does, you can be smoking before you even have a chance to know what is happening. If you do not have your mind trained to deal with the desire, you might not even be able to notice it, let alone control it - and when that happens, none of the top 10 ways to quit smoking are ever going to work for you, as your mind and body will be pretty much on autopilot.
