Autism Observations Process – After observations of these behaviors
May 12th, 2008
Autism Observations Process – After observations of these behaviors has been made, the initial process of diagnosis starts with a questionnaire administered by a doctor. In this, the doctor assesses the child’s stage and rate of development. A parent’s contribution is invaluable at this stage because the parent has been in contact with the child for the longest period of time. Any method of tracking the development over time is appropriate including anecdotal or visual evidence. At this stage in the diagnosis, the doctor has to make a determination as to the possibilities of autism. The next step is a more complete evaluation and then to consider the types of Autism treatments that may be available to help the patient.
